    Practical trade test

    You complete a practical test in your trade to the employer's standard. It is recorded so the employer sees your real work.

    Written offer

    The employer selects you. You get the salary, hours, accommodation and deductions in writing before you sign anything.

    Permit & visa

    The employer files the work permit, we prepare your documents, and you track each stage with your recruiter.

Step 3 in detail

The trade test: your chance to prove your skill

Employers abroad hire on proven ability. The test protects you too: you are only sent to jobs you can do.

  • You complete a practical task in your trade to the employer's standard, for example a weld test piece, an electrical installation or a fabrication job.
  • The test is filmed from start to finish and the finished work is photographed.
  • Your work is inspected. Welds may also be bend-tested or X-rayed, depending on the employer.
  • If you don't pass, we tell you why, and you can retest when you are ready.

Documents checklist

Start gathering these early. It speeds up your permit and visa.

  1. 1Passport valid for at least 2 years, with 2+ blank pages
  2. 2Updated CV with employer names and dates
  3. 3Trade certificates and experience letters
  4. 4ITI / NCVT / vocational or educational certificates, if any
  5. 5Passport-size photos to the embassy's specification
  6. 6Police clearance certificate (when requested)
  7. 7Medical fitness certificate from an approved clinic

About the process

How long does the whole process take?+
It depends mainly on the country's permit processing time. We give you an estimated timeline in writing when you accept an offer and update you at each stage.
When do I pay anything?+
Never to apply or to be shortlisted. Any permitted fees are listed on our Fees & safety page and are only due after you have a written offer.
Will I see my contract before I travel?+
Yes. You receive the contract or offer in writing, and we go through salary, hours, overtime, accommodation and deductions with you before you sign.
What if something goes wrong after I arrive?+
You have a named contact at our office throughout your contract. Contact them on WhatsApp about any problem at work or with accommodation.
