How the work permit works
The usual route for skilled workers from India:

Your vocational qualification is checked. Many routes need it recognised in Germany, or recognised in India plus at least 2 years' experience.

Employer offers the job and the Federal Employment Agency approves the conditions.

You apply for a work visa at the German mission in India, then get your residence permit after arrival.
