How the work permit works

The usual route for skilled workers from India:

  1. 1

    Employer applies to the General Inspectorate for Immigration (IGI) for your work authorisation.

  2. 2

    You apply for a long-stay employment visa (D/AM) at the Romanian embassy or visa centre.

  3. 3

    After arrival you register and receive a single residence and work permit.
