About the job

Weld steel structures, machines and pipework in workshops, shipyards and on site, mainly with MIG/MAG, TIG or stick (electrode) welding.

What you'll do

• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminium parts to drawings and welding procedures (WPS)
• Prepare joints before welding: grinding, bevelling and cleaning
• Weld in different positions, including vertical and overhead where needed
• Check your own welds and repair any defects
• Use plasma or gas cutting and gouging when needed

What you need

• At least 2 years of MIG/MAG, TIG or stick welding experience
• Able to read basic technical drawings
• Can pass a practical weld test in your process and position
• A welding certificate (ISO 9606 or similar) is an advantage
• Able to pass a practical trade test
• Passport valid for at least 2 years
• Basic English for safety instructions

Salary & benefits

3,500–4,200 RON per month
