About the job
Fabricate steel structures, frames and machine parts in a workshop, from cutting and fit-up to welding and finishing.
What you'll do
- Read workshop drawings and mark out parts
- Cut, drill, bend and roll steel plates and profiles
- Fit up and tack assemblies square and to size
- Weld with MIG/MAG and finish parts by grinding
- Check dimensions and keep the workshop safe and tidy
What you need
- At least 2 years of steel fabrication experience
- Able to read workshop drawings and use measuring tools
- Can tack weld and use workshop machines (drill, saw, press brake)
- Experience with stainless steel or aluminium is an advantage
- Able to pass a practical trade test
- Passport valid for at least 2 years
- Basic English for safety instructions
