About the job
Build and install piping systems for shipyards, process plants and industrial projects, from workshop prefabrication to fitting on site.
What you'll do
- Read isometric drawings and work out cut lengths and positions
- Cut, bevel and prepare pipes, flanges, bends and supports
- Fit up and tack joints ready for welding, with the correct gap and alignment
- Prefabricate pipe spools in the workshop and install them on site
- Align flanges, tighten bolts to the required torque and check measurements
What you need
- At least 2 years of industrial pipe fitting experience
- Confident reading isometric drawings
- Experience with carbon steel; stainless steel is an advantage
- Safe use of cutting torch, grinder and measuring tools
- Able to pass a practical trade test
- Passport valid for at least 2 years
- Basic English for safety instructions
