About the job
Set up and run CNC machines that cut and shape metal parts for factories and fabrication workshops.
What you'll do
- Load programs, set tools and set zero points on the machine
- Run CNC milling, turning, plasma or laser cutting machines
- Measure parts with calipers and micrometers against the drawing
- Make small offset and program changes to keep parts within tolerance
- Do basic cleaning and maintenance of the machine
What you need
- At least 2 years of experience operating CNC machines
- Familiar with Fanuc, Siemens or Heidenhain controls
- Able to read technical drawings and tolerances
- Accurate with measuring instruments
- Able to pass a practical trade test
- Passport valid for at least 2 years
- Basic English for safety instructions
