Welder fabricator in Lithuania

About the job

A combined role: you fabricate steel parts and assemblies from drawings and weld them yourself, in a workshop or yard.

What you'll do

• Read workshop drawings and mark out, cut and prepare steel
• Fit up and tack parts square and to size
• Weld assemblies with MIG/MAG or stick, in different positions
• Grind, finish and check your own welds and dimensions
• Keep tools, machines and the work area safe and tidy

What you need

• At least 2 years of experience as a welder fabricator
• Able to read fabrication drawings
• Can pass a practical fabrication and weld test
• Experience with heavy steel or ship structures is an advantage
• Able to pass a practical trade test
• Passport valid for at least 2 years
• Basic English for safety instructions
